Community Prevention Coordinator

Western Tidewater CSB is looking for a dedicated Community Prevention Coordinator to join our Prevention Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with local organizations, educational institutions, and community groups to assess needs, resources, and establish program priorities.
- Support the Outpatient Services Supervisor in the design, execution, and evaluation of culturally relevant prevention education initiatives for specific demographics.
- Participate in outreach efforts, sharing information on prevention, substance use, tobacco cessation, and mental health with the public and targeted groups.
- Document and maintain records related to the implementation of prevention programs, including participation metrics, program content, and evaluations.
- Contribute to community and interagency committees to uphold a strong prevention perspective.
- Identify challenges faced by prevention program participants that may necessitate further intervention and facilitate appropriate service referrals.
- Stay informed about community resources and service offerings.
- Collaborate with fellow Prevention staff to deliver programs and address family, community, and youth-related issues.
- Assist the Outpatient Services Supervisor with program planning and outcome assessment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a human services field from an accredited institution (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related area).
- Minimum of two years of post-graduate experience in providing prevention or clinical services.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
