As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Intensive-Progressive Care Unit (ICU), you will support our 13-bed unit, which includes 4 ICU and 9 telemetry beds.

The patient demographic encompasses a diverse range of critical care surgical patients, trauma cases, and neurological conditions.

In this role, you will provide both clinical and administrative support, collaborating closely with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.

You will also oversee unit operations and ensure accountability for all assigned responsibilities.


Your primary role will involve managing personnel to achieve specific goals and deliver high-quality nursing care and services.

You will implement cost-effective staffing and supply management strategies.

Additionally, you will educate patients and their families about their care.

As a member of our ICU-PCU team, you will administer prescribed medications while adhering to the five rights of medication administration, perform dressing changes, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.

You will act as the primary coordinator for all disciplines involved in providing well-coordinated patient care, including discharge planning in collaboration with the healthcare team.


Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

- Bachelor's Degree preferred.

- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or possess a Compact license.

- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
