Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in their condition, taking prompt action to address any concerns or issues that arise.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure that all parties are informed and engaged in the care process.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current RN license in the state of employment or compact state.
- BLS certification upon hire, with ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
- 1 year of RN experience, with 6 months of experience in a Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department Unit preferred.
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training and Critical Care Course preferred.
- CCRN, PCCN, RN-BC, TCRN, or NIH Stroke Certification.
- Experience with life-supporting technology and modalities, such as ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and exposure to high-stress situations. The successful candidate will be able to maintain a calm and composed demeanor in the face of challenging situations and prioritize tasks effectively to ensure seamless patient care.
