Role Responsibilities
As a Neuroscience ICU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing complex neurological procedures. Your duties will include:
- Providing patient-centered care and engaging in educational activities for patients and their families.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Utilizing electronic documentation systems to monitor and communicate patient conditions effectively.
- Coordinating discharge planning in collaboration with healthcare team members.
- Maintaining cultural sensitivity and awareness in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
- Active Registered Nurse License in Virginia or a Multistate Compact License.
- Preferred: At least one year of critical care experience in an acute care setting.
- Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
