Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Critical Care Unit (CCU), you will be responsible for supporting our 14-bed unit.

This unit offers continuous 24/7 monitoring for patients who are critically ill due to life-threatening injuries or illnesses.

RNs in this unit will apply their expertise with advanced heart monitors, ventilators for respiratory support, feeding tubes, and catheters.

Your primary responsibilities in this role will include instructing and educating patients and their families.

As a member of the CCU team, you will administer all prescribed medications following the 5 rights of medication administration, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.

Our nursing team will monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions as necessary using computerized documentation systems.

You will act as the primary coordinator for all disciplines involved in well-coordinated patient care, including discharge planning with members of the healthcare team.


What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or possess a Compact license.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
