Role Responsibilities
As a Neuroscience ICU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans. Your duties will include:
- Providing direct nursing care to patients undergoing complex neuro-surgical procedures.
- Educating patients and their families about care plans and health management.
- Utilizing electronic documentation systems to monitor and communicate patient conditions.
- Coordinating discharge planning with healthcare team members.
- Maintaining cultural competence and diversity awareness in all interactions.
Qualifications Required:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
- Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or a Multistate Compact License.
- Preferred experience of at least one year in critical care within an acute care setting.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from an accredited organization.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
