Bon Secours is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Unit team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, analyze data, and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current RN license in the state of employment or compact state.
- BLS certification required; ACLS and CCRN certifications preferred.
- 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting, with 6 months of experience in a critical care unit preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The Registered Nurse may be exposed to physical altercations and verbal abuse, and may be required to use physical restraints. The role also requires the ability to work with hazardous substances and body fluids, and to follow infection control protocols.
Physical RequirementsThe Registered Nurse must be able to lift and carry patients and equipment, and to push and pull heavy objects. The role also requires the ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and climb stairs.
