Position Summary and Requirements

We are in search of a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in our Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit.

In this position, you will deliver direct nursing care to patients undergoing complex neuro-surgical procedures, including but not limited to brain and spine surgeries, stroke interventions, and tumor treatments.

As a Registered Nurse, you will focus on patient-centered care and engage in educational initiatives for patients and their families.

Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Utilizing advanced documentation systems, you will monitor and communicate patient conditions effectively.

Additionally, you will coordinate discharge planning with healthcare team members to ensure seamless transitions for patients.

Maintaining cultural sensitivity and awareness is essential in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following:
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or a Multistate Compact License.
  • Preferred: 1 year of critical care experience in an acute care setting.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from a recognized provider.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
