Role Responsibilities
As a Neuroscience ICU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment. Your duties will include:
- Providing direct nursing care to patients undergoing complex neuro-surgical procedures, including brain and spine surgeries, stroke interventions, and tumor treatments.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Utilizing electronic documentation systems to monitor and communicate patient conditions effectively.
- Coordinating discharge planning in collaboration with healthcare team members.
- Maintaining cultural competence and awareness in all interactions with patients and their families.
Qualifications Required:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
- Current RN license in Virginia or a valid Multistate Compact License.
- Preferred: At least one year of critical care experience in an acute care setting.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from an approved provider.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
