Responsibilities of the Leasing Consultant:
- Greet and engage prospects, residents, and guests both in-person and over the phone.
- Organize and conduct property viewings, guiding prospective residents through tours and interviews.
- Address and resolve inquiries, concerns, and complaints from residents and prospective residents promptly.
- Process applications for potential residents, including screening and reviewing results, as well as renewing existing leases and drafting rental agreements.
- Inspect property conditions to ensure cleanliness and standards are upheld, coordinating with maintenance and housekeeping as necessary.
- Maintain organized and updated resident files and records.
- Report any issues or concerns to the Community Manager or Leasing Manager.
- Uphold a professional and courteous demeanor with all residents, vendors, contractors, and colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.
- Assist in promoting resident activities and engagement.
- Complete any other assigned tasks as required.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Bring a high level of energy and a positive attitude to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with strong communication abilities from relevant experience in property leasing, hospitality, or retail services.
- Willingness to work effectively with other staff, vendors, contractors, and residents.
- A high school diploma or GED is required; a degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in reading and writing English; basic math skills are necessary.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats while presenting a positive, professional image.
- Strong time management skills are essential.
- Bilingual candidates are preferred but not mandatory.
- Exceptional administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong customer service orientation with assertiveness.
- Ability to engage professionally and effectively to close deals.
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office Suite, such as Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with property management software such as Yardi, Resmen, or Onsite is preferred.
- A valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation are required.
- Background and credit checks, pre-employment drug screening, and employment verification are mandatory.
