Your Role

At Placemakr, we understand that discovering the ideal place to call home is a life-changing journey. As a Property Leasing Specialist, you will be instrumental in ensuring our residents feel appreciated and supported throughout their experience, from their initial tour to their move-in day and beyond. We are looking for individuals who exemplify Placemakr's Community Norms and take pride in establishing strong connections with everyone they encounter, guiding potential residents through the leasing process with professionalism, knowledge, and the unique Placemakr touch. As a vital member of our on-site Property Team, you will uphold our Property Team Mission in every interaction, consistently demonstrating that positively impacting our residents' journey is at the core of our operations.

This is a full-time role requiring availability during weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays, with a rotational schedule.

The compensation for this position is $22 per hour.

Your Daily Responsibilities
  • Deliver an outstanding experience to all Placemakr guests, residents, and partners by embodying the qualities of a trusted friend and local expert.
  • Promote a collaborative atmosphere by working effectively with fellow property team members, contributing to a unified and supportive workplace.
  • Ensure a safe and compliant environment for team members and guests by adhering to established policies and procedures, including emergency protocols and conduct expectations.
  • Communicate professionally with prospective residents through various written channels, including emails and marketing materials, while maintaining a friendly demeanor and utilizing proper grammar.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective Placemakr residents, ensuring an exceptional experience throughout the leasing process.
  • Exhibit strong sales skills by effectively addressing objections and providing tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of each prospective resident.
  • Manage all administrative tasks related to leasing to ensure compliance during move-ins, move-outs, and renewals, following established processes and utilizing relevant tools.
  • Maintain move-in documentation in accordance with Placemakr standards, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct informative on-site tours, highlighting the unique features and benefits of Placemakr properties while addressing all inquiries.
  • Oversee all aspects of the prospect lifecycle, from initial communications to follow-up, ensuring success in signing leases and meeting renewal goals.
  • Take charge of resident retention efforts, including ongoing service initiatives, responsiveness, and lease renewal negotiations.
  • Share best practices with new hires and experienced colleagues to foster a culture of continuous improvement and exceptional resident experiences.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in leasing, sales, or business development.
  • Proven track record of achieving leasing or sales goals (experience with Class-A residential properties is a plus).
  • Experience in managing and nurturing relationships effectively.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Knowledge of leasing regulations and Fair Housing laws (preferred).
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to grammar and professionalism.
  • Ability to learn and adhere to administrative processes to Placemakr standards (experience with administrative duties or CRM systems is a plus).
  • A proactive attitude and ability to work collaboratively, contributing to a culture of open communication and support.

  • Physical capability to perform job duties, including standing, walking, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
