Compensation: $17-$19 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
The primary role of the Youth Care Specialist is to deliver crisis intervention, de-escalation, and behavioral modification strategies in a trauma-informed, strength-based, and youth-centered manner. This position requires flexibility in scheduling and availability for on-call duties. Performance will be evaluated based on individual outcomes, achievement of personal targets, contributions to team objectives, and alignment with the organizational culture.
- Exhibit trauma-informed care principles consistently.
- Ensure vigilant supervision and monitoring of all clients, maintaining safety and appropriate ratios.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and support, fostering therapeutic relationships with each child.
- Contribute to a trauma-informed environment where physical restraints are a last resort.
- Engage youth in activities and one-on-one sessions to promote a constructive learning atmosphere.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the physical environment by adhering to sanitation protocols.
- Ensure all documentation complies with internal and external quality and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License and compliance with credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards relevant to the department.
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred based on life experience.
- A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in on-call or shift-based roles is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
