Position Summary

Starting Hiring Range: $31, $38,126.40, annually

Work Schedule: This role requires availability from Tuesday to Saturday, including evenings and nights based on event requirements.

Under the guidance of management, this position is tasked with the setup and dismantling of events, providing customer support, maintaining cleanliness, and performing minor repairs within the Conference Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that tables, chairs, beverage stations, and other items are arranged according to event specifications and floor plans, and reset rooms post-event.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by welcoming guests, addressing setup requests, and being responsive to service needs during events.
  • Conduct various cleaning tasks, including daily trash collection, maintaining the exterior environment, restocking bathrooms and kitchens, and ensuring overall cleanliness through mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.
  • Perform facility inspections to identify and execute minor repairs, such as paint touch-ups, equipment maintenance, and reporting any issues related to the facility.
  • Communicate any maintenance or scheduling concerns to the Conference Center Director.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with at least one year of general building maintenance experience.

Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage special projects effectively.
  • Knowledge of operational procedures and the ability to interpret and apply relevant policies.
  • Strong practical knowledge of technical fields, with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication and customer service.
  • Capability to oversee contractors or temporary staff as needed.
  • Proficient in using various hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic math skills for practical applications such as measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and complete tasks accurately under time constraints.
  • Ability to utilize resources efficiently and maintain professional relationships.
  • Dependability and regular attendance are essential.
Special Requirements
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is necessary. This position is classified as safety-sensitive and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.

Licenses & Certifications
A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.

Work Environment
This role primarily operates in a climate-controlled environment, with physical demands including lifting between 20-50 lbs and performing tasks that may require the use of ladders and other equipment.
