Position Overview:

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is pivotal in steering the maintenance division towards operational excellence. This role emphasizes ongoing enhancement and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), ensuring that plant operations receive both strategic and tactical support aimed at optimizing efficiencies and minimizing overall ownership costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Preventative Maintenance Program, including predictive maintenance, spare parts management, and downtime analysis by equipment and frequency.
  • Administer payroll for the maintenance team.
  • Manage procurement and budgeting for maintenance parts.
  • Ensure compliance with necessary licenses and permits, including environmental and safety regulations.
  • Maintain fire safety systems and implement fire prevention strategies.
  • Oversee the upkeep of all facility utilities, including specialized refrigeration systems.
  • Collaborate with various departments such as Production, Human Resources, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Finance to achieve production objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance machinery and plant equipment efficiency.
  • Draft, propose, and execute capital project plans.
  • Exemplify a strong sense of ownership and accountability within the Maintenance Department.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a commitment to completing tasks effectively, including being available for on-call duties.
  • Establish, communicate, and implement departmental expectations.
  • Assist in fulfilling the production schedule and supporting operational needs.
  • Work with management to ensure effective organizational structure and clarity in roles.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain accurate records.
  • Comply with company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety procedures.
  • Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Lead the entire maintenance team, including supervisors, engineers, planners, and technicians.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive maintenance experience within a manufacturing setting.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of systems with high levels of instrumentation and automation.
  • Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, 5-S principles, and TPM.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to multitask and present effectively.
  • Proven ability to drive organizational change and create momentum.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Experience with Oracle software is a plus.
  • Exceptional mechanical aptitude and skills.

Additional Information:

Travel requirements may reach up to 10%.

Work Environment:

This role involves a balance of office work and time spent in the manufacturing environment.
