The Production Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe production of NARSTCO products. This position requires a team player who can work collaboratively with other workers to meet customer needs and goals.
Key Responsibilities- Production and Quality Control
- Work safely following all required safety and work protocols and wearing of personnel protective equipment as required.
- Carry out production activities for the processing of all NARSTCO products to the highest quality standards.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Follow instructions of Production Foreman and Team Leads.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
- Training and Development
- Assist new employees in safe and efficient production, including following standard operating procedures and instructional material and manuals.
- Integrity and Accountability
- Exercise the utmost degree of integrity, honesty, good faith, and fidelity to the Company, in dealing with the Company and with its customers, employees, suppliers and other public entities.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Provide other reasonable services as the Company may request from time to time.
- Education and Experience
- High School diploma or GED.
- One to two years' experience in Manufacturing.
- Skills and Qualifications
- One to two years Forklift operation and certification a bonus.
- Basic reading and mathematics skills.
- Knowledge and experience in working punch press, form press, forklift, using calipers, reading a tape measure, operation of PLC equipment, automated machinery, grinders, and machine fabrication tools preferred.
- Basic maintenance knowledge such as tightening and loosening bolts etc. is preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions, drawings and dimensions as required for quality.
- Ability to work well with tools and machinery required.
- Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Frequently stands, walks, climbs, balances, lifts, bends, and moves objects up to 50 pounds.
- Exposed to all weather conditions including very hot and very cold weather.
- Exposed to loud noise.
