Machine Operator - Production Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator - Production Specialist to join our team at Ascend Staffing. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment, ensuring efficient and high-quality production processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain production equipment, including capping machines, labeling machines, and shrink wrap machines.
  • Load and unload raw materials, including caps, labels, and shrink wrap film.
  • Perform minor adjustments to machines to control speed and tightness of capping.
  • Stop machines and report malfunctions to the lead person or supervisor.
  • Set up and operate manual labeling machines as needed.
  • Load and unload products onto pallets and ensure accurate labeling.
  • Inspect products for quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety protocols.
  • Communicate production information to other machine operators and packers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Machine Operator experience required.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English and Spanish.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting.
  • Training, certification, or degree from a technical college or vocational school preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Working Conditions

  • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and equipment.
  • Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in a team environment with regular communication with colleagues.
