Job Summary

The Manager of Case Management Services reports to the Case Management Director and is responsible for promoting patient-centered care by coordinating all aspects of hospital-based case management for his/her assigned area of responsibility in alignment with the goals of the Case Management Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Serves as a Clinical Resource**: Serves as a role model and functions as a clinical resource for staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective care coordination and case management practices.
  • **Supervises and Develops Staff**: Supervises and facilitates development of staff, overseeing the day-to-day tasks and activities in the department to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
  • **Ensures Quality and Compliance**: Ensures staff are competent in the use of InterQual to progress the plan of care, monitors the quality of CM interactions with patients, families, physicians, and the multidisciplinary team, and participates in clinical performance improvement activities.
  • **Communicates Effectively**: Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration.
  • **Assumes Departmental Responsibilities**: Assumes responsibility of the department in the absence of the Director, schedules and staffs the department, and completes daily, weekly, and monthly reports as assigned by the Director of Case Management.
Requirements
  • **Education**: Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma; Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • **Experience**: 3+ years experience in clinical nursing; Preferred Experience: 2+ years supervisory experience and InterQual experience.
  • **Credentials**: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state(s) of practice according to law and regulation; Preferred Credentials: Certification in Case Management, Certification in InterQual or IQCI.
