Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Services Director to join our team at Healthcare Management of Asheville. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of social services programs to ensure the highest level of care for our patients and residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement social services programs to meet the needs of patients and residents, including planning, organizing, and directing social service activities.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, administrators, and other departments to ensure seamless delivery of social services.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise social services staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies, organizations, and healthcare providers to ensure access to resources and services for patients and residents.
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of social services programs to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Develop and manage budgets for social services programs to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for social services.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to social services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an approved school of Social Work.
  • Non-encumbered State License to practice Social Work.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a Long Term Care or hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Experience in program development and management.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards for social services.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and communities.
