Amazon's rapidly expanding Seller Recruitment and Business Development division is in search of an enthusiastic and results-driven Sustainable Business Partnerships Manager (SBPM) for our newly established team dedicated to onboarding eco-friendly selling partners.

Amazon is dedicated to empowering environmentally-conscious businesses to thrive as successful sellers on our platform. This SBPM will be responsible for the recruitment and management of sustainable enterprises.

The SBPM will be tasked with cultivating and overseeing a diverse sales pipeline comprising both high-value and transactional accounts while implementing sales strategies aimed at fostering business growth.

In particular, this individual will be accountable for identifying and nurturing relationships with key influencers and decision-makers within the senior management and executive teams of potential accounts, alongside internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to develop and present compelling Amazon solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations.


As a division, Amazon's North American Seller Services holds significant influence by coordinating efforts across Amazon Customers, Amazon Category teams, and Amazon Sellers.

We are a business development organization; we drive growth for over 2 million Amazon Sellers through business intelligence, cross-selling initiatives, and integrated Account Management.

Our success is rooted in our commitment to aggressive growth for our Sellers' businesses.

Core Responsibilities:
Identify, qualify, onboard, and nurture sustainable businesses selling on Amazon.

Analyze customer data and provide insights to maximize the potential of your assigned territory. Successfully execute the recommended action plan.

Implement and monitor metrics to evaluate the success and quality of the sellers in your territory. Utilize these metrics to guide your efforts and uncover hidden opportunities.

Manage complex partnerships and contract negotiations while serving as a liaison to the legal team.

Prospect and secure business to meet quarterly quota targets for both the quantity and quality of sellers recruited.


Utilize CRM tools to track all relevant account information and sales progress, as well as forecast and prioritize to achieve quarterly quota goals.

Develop a comprehensive understanding of the e-commerce landscape and competitive environment, including knowledge of rival product offerings.

Prioritize and complete additional projects while maintaining your current portfolio, such as mentorship, competitive analysis, and sales analysis.

Prepare and deliver business reviews regarding progress and overall health for the respective territory.

Meet or exceed quarterly targets and operational metrics.

Manage multiple opportunities concurrently and strategically.

Create and articulate compelling value propositions around the Selling on Amazon product.

Engage with merchants to understand their needs and assess fit with the Amazon Services product suite.

Develop a clear understanding of the Selling on Amazon products, including their features and functionalities.

Collaborate with internal partners to drive change, eliminate obstacles, and close business.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of successful enterprise-level sales experience, preferably in the eCommerce, retail technology, SaaS, or software sectors.

Extensive experience in cold calling, prospecting, and qualifying companies.

Experience working within a global sales organization at a major corporation.

Demonstrated success in surpassing sales targets using a consultative, solutions-oriented approach.

Experience managing relationships at the executive level.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Proven ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize the sales funnel while using data to inform decisions.

Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

BA/BS degree.

Experience using CRM tools.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 3+ years of sales or marketing experience (such as e-commerce, retail technology, SaaS) or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of inside sales experience.

Knowledge of procurement and source-to-pay methods at small and medium-sized businesses.

Experience influencing at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level.

Experience exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach or equivalent.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various US geographic markets.

The base pay for this position ranges from $62,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $132,900/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is determined by various factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
