We are currently seeking an Environmental Sustainability Program Manager to join our Energy and Sustainability Division. This role will be based in our Seattle office and presents a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise and make a significant impact on our firm's ongoing success.

Key Responsibilities:

The following responsibilities are not exhaustive and may be expanded as necessary:

  • Collaborate with clients, including agency stakeholders, engineers, architects, and contractors, to deliver project management support. Participate in client meetings, drive action items, manage schedules and budgets, and oversee project teams.
  • Provide expert advice on sustainability and environmental programs.
  • Evaluate existing client sustainability initiatives and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Develop sustainability strategies or solutions at the building, campus, or organizational level.
  • Act as a technical resource for clients, offering guidance on climate, energy, water, waste management, and utility-related matters.
  • Facilitate workshops and planning sessions to advance sustainability initiatives.
  • Manage communications related to sustainability programs, including collaborating with graphic designers to create outreach materials.
  • Implement and oversee sustainability projects and programs.
  • Support client strategic planning efforts, providing expert input.
  • Prepare annual reports, communication materials, and other documents related to sustainability initiatives.
  • Develop tools and databases to assist in the implementation and assessment of sustainability programs.
  • Assist in the organization and management of project documentation, data, and deliverables.
  • Regularly update senior management on project status.
  • Manage project timelines and milestones.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to achieve deliverables.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and client representatives to ensure task completion.
  • Proactively identify potential delays and develop contingency plans.

Qualifications:

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on project or program management experience in sustainability, climate action, resilience, or environmental compliance.
  • Experience in the sustainability, climate, energy, transportation, water, or waste management sectors.
  • Proven experience in client relations.
  • Familiarity with data management and analysis.
  • Preferred experience managing projects for public agencies.
  • Preferred experience in strategic planning and report development.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • This position may require occasional travel.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle transportation.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Relevant Sustainability Accreditations, such as:
  • LEED AP, WELL, FitWel, Envision SP
  • ISSP
  • Other applicable certifications.
