Position Overview:

The Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives is tasked with leveraging customer insights to tackle creative challenges and foster brand development. This role serves as a strategic lead in the pharmaceutical marketing and advertising sector, focusing on the practice manager, payer, and professional communities. A robust background in Managed Markets and a deep understanding of the practice manager demographic, particularly in relation to securing coverage for individual patients and provider reimbursement, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage key strategic initiatives, including customer insight generation, competitive analysis, creative brief formulation, channel strategy development, and messaging.
  • Lead strategic projects and teams to create and implement comprehensive strategic frameworks and initiatives.
  • Enhance the agency's overall understanding of coverage and reimbursement processes as they relate to business objectives.
  • Collaborate with various agency departments to ensure strategic thinking is integrated throughout all agency activities.
  • Act as the strategic lead for relevant business accounts, delivering sound, value-driven solutions to clients.
  • Conduct research related to strategy and creative processes.
  • Oversee the strategic components of new business proposals.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in generating insights and developing channel strategies and value propositions tailored to the practice manager and payer decision-maker audiences.
  • Comprehensive understanding of benefit designs across Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial/Private health insurance.
  • Experience with benefits investigations and prior authorizations to secure insurance coverage for biologics.
  • In-depth knowledge of provider reimbursement mechanisms.
  • Proven experience in leading workshops and facilitating brainstorming sessions.
  • Strong grasp of managed markets and their relevance to pharmaceutical brands.
  • Solid understanding of strategic frameworks.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation capabilities.
  • Experience in managed markets from either agency or client-side perspectives.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is competitive, with annual compensation for Director-level roles between $140,000 and $161,000, and for VP roles between $165,000 and $189,800.
