The Director, Strategic Planning position is a key role within McCann Health Managed Markets, an IPG Health Company. This client-facing strategic lead position is responsible for applying customer understanding to creative problems to generate brand-building ideas.
This role requires a strong understanding of the practice manager, payer, and professional community, with a focus on gaining coverage for individual patients, provider reimbursement, and how payer policies are translated and incorporated into clinical practice.

Job Responsibilities:- Develop and lead key strategic initiatives, including customer insight generation, competitive assessment analysis, creative brief writing, channel strategy, value propositions, and messaging.
- Lead strategy assignments and teams to develop and deliver comprehensive strategic platforms and initiatives.
- Enhance the overall agency team's understanding and applicability of coverage and reimbursement processes to the business.
- Partner with other Agency departments to ensure strategic thinking is incorporated in all aspects of the agency's work.
- Lead strategy function on relevant books of business and serve as the strategy lead to the client, delivering sound and value-based solutions.
- Lead research pertaining to strategy and creative development.
- Lead the strategic component of new business pitches.
- Proven expertise in insight generation, development of channel strategies, and value propositions related to the practice manager and/or payer/population-health decision maker audience.
- Understanding of benefit designs in Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial/Private health insurance.
- Experience with benefits investigations and prior authorizations to gain insurance coverage for biologics.
- Understanding of provider reimbursement.
- Experience leading workshops and facilitating brainstorming sessions.
- Strong understanding of managed markets and applicability to pharmaceutical brands.
- Strong understanding of strategic frameworks.
- Experience communicating information written and verbally.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Managed markets experience from agency or client-side.

Salary: $140,000 - $161,000 annually for Director-level. $165,000 - $189,800 annually for VP.
The salary range for this position is noted within this job posting. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
