Position Title: Receptionist/Check-In Coordinator

Role Summary:
The Receptionist/Check-In Coordinator at A Brighter Future Healthcare Services plays a crucial role in creating a friendly and efficient atmosphere for all patients and visitors at our healthcare facility. This position requires a personable and professional individual who excels in customer interaction and maintains exceptional standards of orderliness and cleanliness in the reception area. The successful candidate will be tasked with welcoming all guests, managing patient flow, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is accurately collected and processed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Welcoming Visitors:
- Greet all patients, visitors, and partners warmly as they arrive.
- Create a positive first impression by exhibiting a professional and approachable demeanor.
- Assist visitors in feeling at ease and direct them to the appropriate areas or personnel.

2. Document Handling:
- Gather essential documents from patients during check-in, including identification and insurance information.
- Ensure accurate scanning and uploading of documents into the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Maintain organized filing of documents for easy access by medical and administrative teams.

3. Cleanliness and Organization:
- Ensure the reception and waiting areas are kept clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
- Regularly sanitize high-contact surfaces to promote a safe environment.
- Keep informational materials in the waiting area well-organized and current.

4. Managing Patient Flow:
- Oversee the movement of patients and visitors to ensure a smooth and orderly process.
- Assist in directing patients to the appropriate waiting areas or examination rooms as needed.
- Collaborate with other staff to minimize wait times and enhance service efficiency.

5. Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide basic information to visitors, such as directions within the facility or details about available services.
- Monitor the reception area to ensure it is stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist with various administrative tasks, including scheduling follow-up appointments and responding to inquiries.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Previous experience in a customer service or front desk role, preferably in a healthcare environment.

Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Proficiency in using office equipment such as scanners and computers.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous.

Work Environment:
- The Receptionist/Check-In Coordinator will operate in a dynamic healthcare setting.
- Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods and occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds.

Working Hours:
