POSITION OVERVIEW

The Patient Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the dental office operates smoothly. Responsibilities include managing appointment schedules, entering patient information for billing, and communicating effectively and compassionately with patients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greet patients warmly and professionally
  • Check-in patients, ensuring all necessary information is entered into the patient management system
  • Collect co-payments and manage patient check-out
  • Balance registers at the end of each day
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Schedule appointments and confirm them with patients
  • Address issues and escalate them to the Office Manager as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
To excel in the role of Patient Coordinator, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are necessary:

Essential Qualifications
  • Reliable attendance with a commitment to punctuality
  • Flexibility to accommodate business needs outside of regular hours
  • Successful completion of a credit check
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
  • Experience balancing financial registers
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient computer skills; familiarity with Eaglesoft and/or Denticon is advantageous
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Previous experience in a dental front desk role is preferred but not mandatory
Communication Skills
  • Exemplary telephone etiquette and clear communication with patients and team members, both in person and over the phone
