Position Summary:

As a Supplier Quality Engineer in the construction fastener sector, your primary responsibility will be to assess, develop, and oversee suppliers to guarantee efficiency, quality, and dependability within the supply chain.

You will collaborate closely with suppliers to enhance their processes, quality systems, and performance to align with corporate standards and customer requirements.


Key Responsibilities:
1.

Supplier Assessment and Selection:
Conduct thorough evaluations and audits of suppliers to assess their capabilities, quality systems, and adherence to industry standards.
Assist in identifying new suppliers based on strategic sourcing initiatives and project needs.
Establish and maintain a comprehensive supplier qualification process.

Supplier Enhancement:
Partner with suppliers to pinpoint and execute process improvements, cost savings, and quality upgrades.
Facilitate training and development initiatives for suppliers to boost their capabilities and performance.
Monitor and report on supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs).

Quality Control:
Work alongside suppliers to formulate and implement quality assurance strategies.
Ensure supplier compliance with corporate quality standards and regulatory mandates.
Investigate and address supplier-related quality concerns, including root cause analysis and corrective measures.

Project Coordination:
Lead and manage supplier development initiatives to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, and quality assurance, to meet project objectives.
Track project milestones, timelines, and deliverables.

Ongoing Improvement:
Champion continuous improvement efforts within the supply chain to enhance overall performance.
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to introduce innovative solutions to the supply chain.
Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other process enhancement methodologies.

Supplier Relationship Management:
Establish and nurture strong relationships with key suppliers to promote collaboration and mutual growth.
Act as the primary liaison for suppliers regarding technical and quality matters.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

A minimum of 7 years of experience in supplier development, quality assurance, or supply chain management, preferably within the construction fastener sector.

Familiarity with quality management systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO, Lean, Six Sigma).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
Proficiency in supplier management and quality assurance software/tools.
Willingness to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications such as Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP), Six Sigma Black Belt, or Lean Manufacturing.

Experience with advanced manufacturing processes and technologies in the construction fastener industry (e.g., heading, threading, heat treating, plating, coating, painting).Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to construction fasteners.


Work Environment:
This role may require travel to supplier sites and manufacturing facilities.
Work is conducted in both office and manufacturing environments.
