Job Summary

Sapphire Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Technical Inspector to join our team. As a Technical Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational readiness of our mechanical systems on board our ships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement of equipment and spare parts
  • Planning, execution, and monitoring of repairs, dockings, class work, and shipyard stays
  • Regular inspection visits in Germany and abroad
  • Budget creation and monitoring of ship operating costs
  • Technical guidance for our crew members
  • Contact person for service providers, suppliers, as well as authorities and class representatives

Requirements:

  • Ship operations engineer/technician, mechanical engineer/technician, or a comparable qualification
  • Professional experience in the field of shipping inspection
  • Teamwork skills as well as a goal-oriented and responsible work style
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
