Position Overview

The Sales Representative is responsible for spearheading the sales initiatives within the community, contributing to the formulation and implementation of the marketing strategy, achieving occupancy targets, and adhering to Century Park's standards while complying with all relevant laws and regulations. This role reports directly to the Sales Director.

Qualifications

Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Required: A minimum of one year of successful sales experience in the senior living sector is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date leads database.
  • Ensure the waitlist is current and correctly managed.
  • Keep an accurate record of primary and secondary referral sources in the local market.
  • Generate timely and precise sales reports.
  • Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of move-in documentation.
  • Track new residents to identify their previous residences.
  • Conduct demographic studies to pinpoint areas with high concentrations of potential residents.
  • Assist in the development, execution, and evaluation of the community's strategic marketing plan.
  • Maintain budget compliance regarding labor and expenses, keeping a written record of expenditures.
  • Monitor all marketing outcomes, including leads generated and tours conducted.

Sales and Marketing Responsibilities

  • Enhance overall resident census and meet specific occupancy goals.
  • Build and nurture relationships with referral sources.
  • Achieve or surpass established goals, including sales calls, conducted tours, and follow-ups.
  • Effectively close sales with prospective residents and their families.
  • Increase community awareness within the broader local area.
  • Engage in local marketing events, health fairs, and community organization activities.
  • Assist in organizing and hosting marketing and waitlist events.
  • Develop and deliver benefit-oriented tours for inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and other department managers to ensure all community areas are ready for viewing.
  • Establish and manage a follow-up process to convert inquiries into residents.
  • Maintain regular communication with waitlist and leads.
  • Participate in regional conference calls with other sales associates.
  • Ensure that the Sales Director's objectives are met.

Additional Requirements

  • Possess reliable transportation and be willing to travel as needed.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exhibit an outgoing and energetic personality with strong listening and persuasive skills.
  • Possess expert knowledge in the relevant field.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions as necessary.
  • Understand the urgency of building occupancy and generating referrals.
  • Implement and interpret the sales department's programs, goals, and policies.
  • Demonstrate effective follow-through with prospective leads and referral sources.
  • Provide excellent customer service and hospitality.
  • Exhibit strong networking and account management skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information.
  • Adhere to company policies, including compliance and ethical standards.
