Overview:

The Manufacturing Operations Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the production facility through a dedicated team of supervisors and group leaders. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality products to customers in a timely manner while adhering to the company's operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures, achieving 100% adherence.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies to enhance safety, quality, cost efficiency, timely deliveries, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual management, and overall plant performance.
  • Provide effective leadership in employee relations through clear communication, coaching, training, and conflict resolution that aligns with company values.
  • Monitor operational efficiency and safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Drive enhancements in manufacturing processes and standardized work practices, leading to increased productivity and efficiency through Lean Tools.
  • Supervise production management staff across all shifts.
  • Develop and manage production schedules to meet both internal objectives and customer demands.
  • Establish and enforce plant policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate overall plant performance against production and quality benchmarks.
  • Oversee operational labor metrics, focusing on team improvement processes and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Facilitate Lean Six Sigma initiatives throughout the facility, serving as the champion for quality and process excellence.
  • Manage full profit and loss responsibilities, collaborating closely with finance and sales & marketing teams to achieve sales goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a plant management role.
  • At least 10 years of operations management experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Experience in Lean methodologies, continuous improvement, and Six Sigma practices.
