Job Summary:

The Automotive Service Director at Jim Falk Automotive Group is responsible for overseeing the service department's daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective management of the team.

This individual will lead a team of service advisors, technicians, and support staff to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction and repeat business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the automotive industry, with experience in service management and proven leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead the service department by setting performance goals, providing guidance and support to team members, and overseeing daily operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Monitor and analyze department performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to increase efficiency and profitability.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate service department staff, providing ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure a knowledgeable and skilled team.
  • Maintain strong communication with other departments, such as sales and finance, to coordinate and streamline service processes.
  • Manage inventory and ensure proper maintenance of equipment and tools.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment for both employees and customers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, and make recommendations for improvement to the dealership owner.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Automotive Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, with at least 2 years in a service management role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a focus on providing an exceptional customer experience.
  • Proficiency in automotive technology and service processes, with a keen understanding of industry trends and developments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and evenings, as needed.
