About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at Roberts Hawaii. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are always in top condition and ready for service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure vehicles are serviced and repaired in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Oversee the work of subordinate staff, providing guidance and training as needed to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs, ensuring they are within budget and aligned with company goals.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of parts and services.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Provide training and coaching to staff on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and reports to track maintenance activities and costs.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a fleet maintenance and/or shop environment.
  • ASE certification in multiple areas (e.g. brakes, suspension, engines, etc.).
  • Hawaii State Mechanic License.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Working Conditions

The Maintenance Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other environmental hazards. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time. The Maintenance Manager will also be required to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
