About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp on Modern American Cuisine / French cooking with a true sense of craft. You will be working with a critically acclaimed Chef and will be responsible for:

  • Proactively researching, developing, and implementing innovative food ideas and concepts to increase individual restaurant profitability
  • Coaching teams on effectively managing costs while maintaining recipe standards and cooking procedures
  • Providing coaching and guidance on improving the mindset and skill set of BOH staff, and providing them with the appropriate tool set to perform their jobs
  • Hiring, training, and managing BOH staff independently
  • Being well-versed in food and labor costs
  • Proactively researching, developing, and implementing innovative food ideas
Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Prior experience as a Chef de Cuisine is a big plus
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive culinary experience as a Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef in well-rated, industry-leading kitchens
  • Ability to motivate and hire professionals
  • Strong command of high-end cuisine
  • Passion for training and development of others
  • Attention to details of food quality, preparation, and presentation
  • Influential, team-oriented leadership style
  • Strong written and computer skills
  • Degree in culinary arts from an accredited University preferred
