Sous Chef at Planet Word

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Immigrant Food+ at Planet Word in Washington, DC.
The ideal candidate will have experience working as a sous chef or chef, with a strong understanding of kitchen equipment, processes, and health and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities will include assisting the Chef team with planning and creating menus, anticipating ingredient needs, and ensuring a productive kitchen flow that upholds business standards.
Additional responsibilities will include managing cost controls, producing and executing catering events, and rolling out new culinary programs in conjunction with the Company's marketing and culinary team.
Qualifications include experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ability to delegate tasks effectively, and accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations.
We are looking for a team player who is adaptable to high traffic and kitchen volume, with a comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends.
Applicants should have experience with computers, including Microsoft Office and the Internet, and be willing to participate in client satisfaction programs.
