Position Overview:
In this role, you will excel with diverse water and wastewater engineering project design opportunities.

The Engineer will assist in the planning, designing, permitting, funding, bidding, and executing construction administration of water and wastewater infrastructure.

Project work emphasizes water intake, treatment, pumping, storage, distribution, and wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare plans, specifications, costs, and estimates for municipal and industrial water and wastewater facilities.
  • Utilize design software to create project designs, draft plans, drawings, and models according to project specifications.
  • Complete project tasks from initiation to completion, supporting project and client services managers.
  • Provide job site support and observation while monitoring construction progress.
  • Assist project managers with construction administration tasks, including submittal and RFI review, progress payment review, compliance with funding agency provisions, and oversight of onsite RPRs.
  • Analyze facilities for system deficiencies regarding compliance with local, state, and federal standards and regulations.
  • Provide improvement alternatives to meet compliance with such regulations.
  • Assist the Project Manager and Client Service Manager in engaging with community members, government officials, and other stakeholders to communicate project goals, address concerns, and gather input on water and wastewater initiatives.

Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years design experience in water and wastewater projects.
  • PE license preferred or able to obtain after-hire.
  • Design software experience in Civil 3D or similar.
  • Experienced with Hydraulic modeling software or similar.
  • Knowledge of engineering planning studies.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable record for travel.
