Role Overview

The Advanced AI Model Research Specialist will possess extensive hands-on experience in research or industry, concentrating on key domains such as Cognitive AI, Foundation Models, Large Language Models, and Distributed Training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative deep learning methodologies to enhance and progress large language models (LLMs) and extensive multi-modal models.
  • Design and execute machine learning strategies to tailor foundation models for specific downstream applications, including robotic manipulation and complex task planning.
  • Assemble and refine datasets for large-scale machine learning, focusing on learning from human preferences and specialized application domains.
  • Collaborate closely with our research teams to create cutting-edge robotics demonstrations based on your findings.
Qualifications
  • MS or PhD in a field relevant to foundation models.
  • 7+ years of experience in research and development.
  • Proficient understanding of large language models, foundation models, model parallelism, or distributed training methodologies.
  • Strong programming capabilities in rapid prototyping environments such as Python or C++.
  • Expertise in deep learning frameworks, particularly PyTorch.
  • At least one publication in prestigious conferences and journals in Machine Learning, Robotics, or related disciplines.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud computing, or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with data processing, logging, and visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of MLOps practices including model versioning, lineage tracking, monitoring, and deployment.
  • Experience in creating orchestration workflows using tools like Airflow, Kubeflow, or AWS Step Functions.
  • Proficiency with DevOps tools such as CI/CD Pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience implementing IoT solutions, including edge computing.
  • Familiarity with big data processing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
  • Demonstrated history of publications in top-tier conferences and journals in relevant fields.
  • Experience with parallel programming techniques (e.g., CUDA).
