Water Park Operations Supervisor

ASM Global, a leader in the management of public assembly venues, is seeking an experienced Water Park Operations Supervisor. This role supports the Water Park Manager in overseeing the daily functions of a vibrant water park, which includes staffing, financial management, customer relations, aquatic services, retail operations, food and beverage management, and event hosting. Each water park boasts a distinctive theme featuring attractions such as water slides, climbing walls, lazy rivers, children's play areas, and leisure pools.
Key Responsibilities
- Directs daily operations to ensure compliance with ASM Global's operational standards.
- Assists the Water Park Manager in managing team members to promote high productivity, exceptional performance, and positive workplace morale.
- Facilitates timely staff scheduling and postings.
- Collaborates with the Water Park Manager to implement training programs focused on safety and customer service.
- Ensures adherence to all client and company policies by staff members.
- Maintains current certifications and training in required and optional areas.
- Monitors daily aquatic operations to comply with all health and safety regulations.
- Oversees facility maintenance to ensure optimal conditions.
- Actively engages in the water park environment to identify and resolve any safety hazards or issues.
- Addresses guest and employee inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Manages cash handling processes and reconciles daily sales reports.
- Serves as the On-Duty Manager as assigned.
- Assists in the recruitment, hiring, and training of seasonal and part-time staff.
- Oversees various departments including Ticketing, Retail, Food & Beverage, Guest Services, Lifeguards, Maintenance, Security, and Emergency Management.
- Ensures guests receive exemplary customer service in a friendly, enjoyable, and safe atmosphere.
- Maintains high standards of professionalism, positive demeanor, and appearance.
- Participates in monthly staff meetings and fosters collaborative relationships with other departments.
- Willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- Occasional travel for industry-related conferences, meetings, and training sessions.
- Stays updated on industry trends and maintains relevant certifications.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Ability to cultivate effective working relationships with clients, employees, vendors, and patrons.
- Proficient in using personal computers with Windows and Microsoft Office software, as well as other facility management software.
- Ability to follow both oral and written instructions and communicate effectively.
- Adaptable and able to respond to changing situations.
- Strong public speaking skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and produce accurate results under pressure.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and insurance to operate a vehicle in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED; a college degree is preferred.
- Prior experience in aquatics or water park operations is preferred.
- A minimum of two years in customer service roles is required.
- At least two years of supervisory experience is necessary.
- Current lifeguard/instructor certification from Ellis & Associates (or equivalent) is preferred or must be obtained upon hire.
- Certification as a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatics Facility Operator (AFO) is preferred.

- Ability to remain stationary and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
- Ability to bend and lift objects weighing 20 lbs or less routinely, and occasionally lift more than 20 lbs.
- Travel via air and automobile may be required.
