Job Summary

BFW Group LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Business Development to lead our business growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development within the construction/architecture/engineering industry and the ability to build trust with both customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development Strategy: Conduct research on Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and develop or leverage research platforms, including Artificial Intelligence (AI).
  • Proposal Development: Successfully respond to RFPs and RFQs, ensuring all requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Client Acquisition: Source and secure private, non-RFP proposals and contracts, leading to successful closings.
  • Marketing and Communications: Oversee BFW's monthly newsletter via creating articles and managing content.
  • Website Management: Manage and update BFW's website, collaborating with the Project Assistant to implement changes.
  • Data Management: Maintain and update a mailing list of 13,000+ contacts, working with IT to ensure data security.
  • Social Media Strategy: Design and deliver BFW's social media strategy, implementing content, engagement, and analytical feedback to increase relevance on platforms such as LinkedIn and Facebook.
  • Industry Engagement: Actively participate in industry organizations such as the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Building Industry Association (BIA), and the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce (GBCA).
  • Government Contracting: Lead BFW into State and Federal Government contracting.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Development Manager or Director.
  • Proven track record in business development, demonstrating successful closure of large projects.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
