Aerospace Mechanical Engineer

to become a part of the Systems Laboratory team.

This role is crucial in the forefront of aerospace innovation, focusing on the assessment and validation of aircraft Flight Deck and Electrical Power Systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop simulated aircraft flight decks for engineering lab evaluations of avionic/human interfaces, flight control software, and operational laws.
- Create flight deck models ranging from basic mockups to comprehensive airplane cab shells equipped with all cockpit apparatus.
- Provide mechanical design assistance for lab testing of aircraft electrical power systems, including the installation of generators and routing of cables between various components.

Position Duties:
- Collaborate with fellow engineers to define requirements for test system designs.
- Engineer mechanical mounts for flight deck and electrical power system components.
- Design mechanical supports for high-speed generators on drive stands using established designs.
- Aid in the coordination of manufacturing and assembly of testing systems.
- Conduct troubleshooting during system checkout and throughout the installation lifecycle.
- Prepare and deliver presentations during design and test readiness reviews.
- Maintain system configuration and traceability.
- Operate under limited supervision.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or a suitable combination of education and experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in mechanical design processes.
- Knowledge of CAITA V5 software.
