About the Role

At MasTec Communications Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and safety-minded Field Technician I to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in the maintenance and operation of generators, HVAC, and telecommunication site infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support in the maintenance and operation of generators, HVAC, and telecommunication site infrastructures.
  • Read and understand customer detail plans to ensure accurate and efficient job execution.
  • Provide superior customer service while ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner.
  • Adhere to all company and industry standard regulations.
  • Conduct due diligence for multiple projects prior to field work.
  • Review peer work product to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Safety is a top priority in your daily work.
  • You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
  • You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work.
  • You are looking for long-term projects.
  • You enjoy working collaboratively with your team.
  • 1-year general construction experience is preferred; some cell industry experience is highly preferred.
  • You must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle.
  • High school diploma or GED; technical degree is preferred.
  • You must be able to work on ladders, demonstrated manual dexterity.
  • You must be adaptable to changing environments.
  • You must be able to pick up/carry loads of 50 lbs. and be capable of working up to 12 hours.
  • You must be available to work weekends and/or nights, in extreme weather conditions if necessary, and be willing to travel extensively.
  • You must be able to work out of the market or away from home as work demands.
