JOB DESCRIPTION:
In this position, you will be instrumental in assisting and supporting the design and deployment of various client physical networks, systems, and data infrastructures. Responsibilities will encompass client onboarding, server migrations, Office 365 transitions, troubleshooting system or network issues, and providing support for hardware and remote access solutions, along with administration and maintenance tasks. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with a broad spectrum of tools, technologies, and environments.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 2 years in Help Desk, Technical Support, Field Technician roles, or similar positions.
- Proficiency in user administration with Active Directory, including user/group management and Office 365 Administration through the Admin Portal.
- Ability to troubleshoot, set up, and configure hardware such as printers, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Experience in network maintenance, server checks, and log analysis.
- Familiarity with firewalls, switches, wireless access points (WAP), and VLANs.
- Knowledge of Windows Server and workstation environments.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, DNS, DHCP, Ping, and Traceroute.
- Experience with VPN configurations for remote client connections.
- Proficient in using Remote Management Tools like ConnectWise.
- Comfortable engaging with clients through various communication channels.
- Confident in client-facing interactions.
BONUS EXPERIENCE:
- Relevant certifications such as Watchguard, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certifications, or Cisco Certifications.
- Experience with tools and technologies including ConnectWise, IT Glue, Group Policy, Solarwinds, WatchGuard, Ruckus, Veeam, Cisco Networking Products, Ubiquiti, VMWare, Dell, or Adobe.
- Background in working for an IT managed service provider.
- Experience with LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, access points, VPN, Citrix, VoIP, etc.
- Familiarity with accessing virtual machines using VMware or Hyper-V.
