About this Role

The Associate Director, SIOP Commercial HVAC will play a pivotal role in managing the CHVAC North American SIOP process, providing vision, leadership, and direction to optimize our SIOP process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Leader and Facilitator: Lead the overall SIOP NA CHVAC process for Carrier, facilitating regular SIOP meetings and ensuring active participation from all relevant stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment of sales, operations, and financial plans.
  • Demand Planning and Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborate with regional marketing and sales teams to establish demand plans aligned with revenue plans, and convert demand plans to long-term supply plans considering capacity and material availability.
  • Inventory Management and Risk Mitigation: Manage and optimize inventory levels in alignment with forecasted demand and supply plans, and identify and mitigate risks in the SIOP process through thorough analysis and proactive planning.
  • Issue Resolution and Escalation: Ensure that issues and imbalances are reviewed, resolved, or escalated, and that key business issues are reconciled, recommendations are proposed, and the information pack is analyzed and prepared to support effective E-SIOP review.
  • Financial Acumen and Business Insights: Ensure full understanding of the significant financial implications of any changes to demand, supply, product, and project plans.
  • Process Development and Improvement: Develop, implement, and optimize SIOP processes and tools, and develop KPIs and regular reporting metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the SIOP process.
Deliverables
  • Feasibility of the SIOP Supply Plan: Ensure the feasibility of the SIOP supply plan.
  • Identified Gaps/Risks: Identify gaps/risks to the committed supply plan and scenarios to resolve.
  • Monthly Regional E-SIOP Reviews: Facilitate monthly regional E-SIOP reviews.
  • Alignment of Demand/Supply/Financial Plans: Ensure full alignment of demand, supply, and financial plans.
  • Customer On-Time Delivery: Ensure customer on-time delivery.
  • Days on Hand Inventory Improvement: Improve days on hand inventory.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Supply Chain Experience: 10+ years of experience in supply chain, SIOP, forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, materials management, master planning, or scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SIOP Process Experience: Proven experience in implementing or leading SIOP processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Business Acumen and Leadership: Advanced business knowledge, general management, and leadership capability to lead business or functional teams.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Action-oriented, results-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work independently, collaboratively, and effectively manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Project Management Skills: Demonstrated effective project management skills and experience.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen specific to inventory, revenue, units, and margin.
