Position Overview

The SIOP Supply Chain Manager is tasked with developing mid to long-term supply strategies that align with demand forecasts and financial objectives. This role encompasses overseeing the SIOP supply planning process to enhance lead times, service quality, and inventory management. You will be responsible for implementing strategic supply chain initiatives that address capacity challenges and ensure continuity of supply to support business expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage mid to long-term supply planning efforts, focusing on balancing supply and demand and conducting capacity assessments.
  • Collaborate with Demand and Supply Chain teams to validate demand forecasts for a 3 to 18-month period, contributing to the monthly Executive SIOP while optimizing customer service and inventory levels.
  • Identify essential data requirements and metrics that facilitate informed decision-making within the SIOP framework. Communicate changes, risks, and overall performance effectively.
  • Lead monthly supply planning discussions with manufacturing and materials teams to ensure alignment between supply and demand plans, addressing resources such as materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Work closely with Sales, Demand Planning, Material Managers, and Production Planning teams to devise solutions for capacity constraints and support long-term sales objectives.
  • Analyze and report on key SIOP supply metrics, ensuring adherence to established performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Oversee long-term capacity assessments with scenario planning, identifying constraints and proposing solutions for business considerations.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including production disruptions and inventory shortages.
  • Provide regular updates on supply status, risks, and opportunities to key internal stakeholders.
  • Lead the Inventory Management Process for the designated business unit, collaborating with various sites to achieve Days Inventory Outstanding (DIOH) targets.
  • Manage inventory for new and phased-out products in partnership with key business stakeholders through the product life cycle management process.
  • Contribute to excess inventory reviews, conducting root cause analyses and developing action plans to minimize surplus stock.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 6+ years of experience in Supply Chain roles, including SIOP, Forecasting, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Materials Management, Master Planning, or Scheduling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or Logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of S&OE and S&OP processes with practical implementation experience.
  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building cross-functional relationships.
  • Experience in inventory optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with advanced planning and inventory management tools and systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Make-to-Order (MTO) or Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing environments.
