Position Overview

The SIOP Supply Chain Manager is tasked with developing mid to long-term supply strategies that align with demand forecasts and financial objectives. This role involves managing the SIOP supply planning process to enhance lead times, service levels, and inventory management. You will implement strategic supply chain initiatives that address capacity challenges and ensure a steady supply to support business expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directs mid to long-term supply planning efforts, focusing on balancing supply and demand alongside long-term capacity planning.
  • Collaborates closely with Demand and Supply Chain teams to validate demand forecasts within a 3 to 18-month timeframe, contributing to the monthly Executive SIOP while optimizing customer service and inventory levels.
  • Identifies essential data requirements and metrics that facilitate informed decision-making throughout the SIOP process, effectively communicating plan adjustments, risks, and overall performance.
  • Leads monthly supply planning discussions with manufacturing and materials teams to ensure alignment of supply plans with demand forecasts, facilitating resource allocation decisions.
  • Works in partnership with Sales, Demand Planning, Material Managers, and Production Planning teams to propose solutions for capacity challenges and support long-term sales objectives.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and reports on key SIOP supply metrics, ensuring adherence to established key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manages long-term capacity assessments through scenario planning, identifying constraints and escalating issues for business consideration with potential solutions.
  • Proactively identifies and addresses supply chain risks, including production disruptions and inventory shortages.
  • Provides regular updates on supply status, risks, and opportunities to key internal stakeholders.
  • Oversees the Inventory Management Process for the designated business unit, collaborating with sites and business units to achieve Days Inventory Outstanding (DIOH) targets.
  • Manages inventory for new and phased-out products in collaboration with key business partners through the product life cycle management process.
  • Plays a crucial role in reviewing excess and obsolete inventory, conducting root cause analyses, and developing action plans to mitigate surplus inventory.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Supply Chain roles, including SIOP, Forecasting, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Materials Management, Master Planning, or Scheduling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or Logistics.
  • Strong working knowledge of S&OE and S&OP, with practical implementation experience.
  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building cross-functional relationships.
  • Experience in inventory optimization.
  • Familiarity with advanced planning and inventory management tools and systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Make-to-Order (MTO) or Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing environments.
