The SIOP Supply Chain Manager will play a pivotal role in developing mid to long-term supply strategies that align with demand forecasts and financial objectives. This position entails overseeing the SIOP supply planning process to enhance lead times, service quality, and inventory management. You will be responsible for implementing comprehensive supply chain strategies that address capacity challenges, ensure continuity of supply, and optimize inventory to support business expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage mid to long-term supply planning initiatives, including balancing supply and demand and conducting long-term capacity assessments.
- Collaborate closely with Demand and Supply Chain teams to interpret and validate demand forecasts over a 3 to 18 month period, contributing to the monthly Executive SIOP while maximizing customer delivery and inventory efficiency.
- Identify essential data requirements, metrics, and inputs that will facilitate informed business decisions throughout the SIOP process. Communicate changes in plans, risks, and overall process effectiveness.
- Lead monthly supply planning discussions with manufacturing sites and materials teams to ensure alignment of supply plans with demand forecasts. Facilitate decisions regarding materials, equipment, labor, and other resources necessary to meet demand across the SIOP planning timeline.
- Work in partnership with Sales, Demand Planning, Material Managers, and Production Planning teams to develop solutions for capacity constraints and support long-term sales objectives.
- Measure, analyze, and report on key SIOP supply metrics while monitoring adherence to critical performance indicators (KPIs).
- Manage long-term rough-cut capacity assessments with scenario planning, identifying constraints and escalating exceptions for business consideration, along with potential scenarios and solutions.
- Identify, address, and escalate supply chain risks, including production disruptions and inventory shortages.
- Provide regular updates on supply status, risks, and opportunities to all key internal stakeholders.
- Oversee the Inventory Management Process for the designated Business Unit, collaborating with sites and business units to achieve Days Inventory on Hand (DIOH) targets.
- Manage inventory for new and phased-out products in collaboration with key business partners through the product life cycle management process.
- Play a significant role in excess and obsolete inventory reviews, conducting root cause analyses and developing action plans to minimize surplus inventory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 6+ years of experience in Supply Chain functions including SIOP, Forecasting, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Materials Management, Master Planning, or Scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or Logistics.
- Strong working knowledge of S&OE and S&OP with practical implementation experience.
- MBA or a master's degree.
- Ability to cultivate cross-functional relationships through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in inventory optimization.
- Familiarity with advanced tools and systems for planning and inventory management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in Make-to-Order (MTO) or Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing environments.
