Job Overview

The Production Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of the production process at Aegis Worldwide. This position involves coordinating production schedules, managing resources, and facilitating communication between departments to guarantee timely and budget-friendly production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Scheduling and Coordination:
    • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to ensure timely completion of production targets.
    • Coordinate with production teams, supply chain, and other departments to ensure all materials, equipment, and labor are available as needed.
    • Monitor production timelines and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in demand or production issues.
  • Resource Management:
    • Assist in managing the allocation of resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment, to maximize production efficiency.
    • Track inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of materials.
    • Ensure all production activities comply with safety standards and company policies.
  • Communication and Liaison:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact between production teams and other departments such as quality control, engineering, and logistics.
    • Facilitate communication between management and production staff to ensure alignment on production goals and timelines.
    • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to management.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:
    • Identify potential production issues and work with relevant teams to develop and implement solutions.
    • Assist in troubleshooting production problems, ensuring minimal disruption to the production schedule.
    • Escalate unresolved issues to management as necessary.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records, including work orders, schedules, and inventory logs.
    • Compile data on production performance, including output, downtime, and efficiency, for management review.
    • Ensure all production documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
    • Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to the production management team.
    • Assist in implementing new production techniques and technologies to improve overall productivity.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production environment, with at least 1 year in a coordination or supervisory role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in production management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and working in a production environment.
  • Exposure to loud noises, machinery, and potentially hazardous materials.
