Position Overview:

Vitis Energy, LLC is in search of a dedicated Staff Accountant to deliver a proactive and engaging experience within a diverse corporate structure. This position presents significant avenues for career advancement and skill enhancement. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in generating and assessing monthly financial statements, executing end-of-month closing activities, and conducting account reconciliations across various subsidiaries. Additionally, this role involves assisting with a wide range of accounting responsibilities, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, journal entries, reconciliations, and various administrative functions as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain precise records and reports related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll operations.
  • Assist in audit processes by supplying necessary documentation and records to auditors.
  • Identify and suggest enhancements to payroll accounting software, systems, and methodologies.
  • Conduct general cost accounting and other associated tasks.
  • Review the classification of all A/P and A/R entries for accurate reconciliation and month-end billing.
  • Oversee the accounts payable process, assigning AP support duties as needed.
  • Perform forensic accounting and reconciliations when required.
  • Provide analytical support for intricate loan transactions to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is mandatory.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting operations, including preparation, balancing, and internal controls.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of sitting at a workstation and utilizing a computer.
  • Ability to frequently lift or transport items weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Capability to occasionally lift or transport items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Travel Requirements: As necessary; potential overnight travel is less than 10%.
