About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Human Resources and Total Rewards to join our team at Heritage Christian Services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives that drive business results and support our mission to provide exceptional services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. HR Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies that align with our business objectives and support our mission.
  2. Compensation and Benefits: Design and administer compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Talent Acquisition and Management: Lead the development and implementation of recruitment strategies to attract and hire top talent, and manage the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
  4. Employee Engagement and Development: Develop and implement programs to enhance employee engagement, retention, and development, including training and development initiatives.
  5. HR Operations and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and manage HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, and employee data management.
  6. Communication and Collaboration: Serve as a strategic partner to our leadership team, providing HR expertise and guidance to support business decisions and initiatives.
Requirements
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, SPHR, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years of management experience
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel, and experience using HR databases
  • Broad knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws, practices, and procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of issues surrounding access, equity, diversity, inclusion, implicit bias, and institutional racism
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to establish and build effective working relationships with colleagues and staff
