Team Structure: The Regular Part-Time Sales Clerk role is an integral part of the American Girl NYC retail team.

Position Overview:

Your Role: The American Girl NYC retail location is seeking an enthusiastic individual to fill the Regular Part-Time Sales Clerk position, who possesses the interpersonal skills necessary to deliver prompt, efficient, and outstanding sales support in our customer-focused environment. This role entails working 30 hours per week and comes with benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet, acknowledge, and assist customers in a timely manner; manage multiple customer interactions effectively.
  • Evaluate and fulfill customer merchandise and service requests by sharing product insights, responding to inquiries, guiding customers to products, suggesting additional purchases, and being aware of stock levels.
  • Inform customers about store events, promotions, and activities.
  • Accurately process all point-of-sale transactions in a timely manner.
  • Assist in resolving customer issues and provide suggestions to convert returns into exchanges.
  • Communicate merchandise and service requirements to management promptly.
  • Support the achievement of team and company objectives.
Compensation: The starting hourly wage for this position is $19, determined by qualifications and experience.

  • Basic computer proficiency is required; familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
  • Experience working with children is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work a varied retail schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.
