Position Overview:
The Role: The American Girl NYC retail store seeks an enthusiastic individual for the Regular Part-Time Sales Department Clerk position, who possesses the interpersonal skills necessary to deliver prompt, efficient, and outstanding sales support in our customer-focused environment. This role entails a commitment of 30 hours per week and includes benefits.
Your Contributions:
- Engage, recognize, and assist customers promptly; manage multiple customer interactions effectively.
- Evaluate and fulfill customer merchandise and service requests by sharing product insights, addressing inquiries, and guiding customers to products, while also suggesting additional items and being aware of stock levels.
- Communicate information regarding store events, promotions, and activities to customers.
- Accurately and efficiently process all point-of-sale transactions.
- Assist in resolving customer issues and provide recommendations to convert returns into exchanges.
- Relay merchandise and service requirements to management in a timely manner.
- Support team and company objectives.
Candidate Profile:
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous sales experience in specialty retail or service sectors is preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency is required; familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
- Experience working with children is a plus.
- Flexibility to work a varied retail schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.
