Team Dynamics: The Regular Part-Time Sales Clerk role is integral to the American Girl NYC retail team.

Position Summary:

Your Role: The American Girl NYC retail store seeks an enthusiastic individual for the Regular Part-Time Sales Clerk position. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills to deliver prompt, efficient, and outstanding sales support in a customer-focused environment. This position entails working 30 hours per week and includes benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet, acknowledge, and assist customers promptly; manage multiple customer interactions effectively.
  • Evaluate and fulfill customer merchandise and service requirements by sharing product insights, addressing inquiries, and guiding customers to products, along with suggestive selling and awareness of stock levels.
  • Communicate details about store events, promotions, and activities to customers.
  • Accurately process all point-of-sale transactions in a timely manner.
  • Assist in resolving customer issues and provide recommendations to convert returns into exchanges.
  • Relay merchandise and service needs to management promptly.
  • Support team and organizational objectives.
*The starting hourly wage for this role is $19/hour, contingent on qualifications and experience.

  • Previous sales experience in specialty retail or service sectors is preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency is required; familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.
  • Experience working with children is preferred.
  • Willingness to work a flexible retail schedule, including evenings and weekends.
