About The Position

The Human Resources Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the HR department by executing administrative functions, including managing employee records, benefits, and recognition initiatives.

  • Oversee all administrative duties, including documentation, email correspondence, and scanning.
  • Organize, maintain, and update employee data within the HRIS system.
  • Ensure employee files and records are accurately maintained in both electronic and paper formats as necessary.
  • Gain proficiency in the Paylocity HRIS system, developing workflows as needed.
  • Understand various Leave of Absences such as FMLA, CFRA, PFL, etc., and track these within the Paylocity system.
  • Address employee inquiries regarding PTO and Sick benefits, along with general HR matters.
  • Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and addressing benefit-related inquiries.
  • Uphold confidentiality of HR information and records.
  • Stay informed about current HR policies, state and federal regulations, trends, and practices to ensure compliance, particularly in California.
  • Support HR leadership in educating employees on company policies and ensuring adherence.
  • Assist management in tracking employee training and providing support as required.
  • Promote positive employee relations and work to resolve any issues that arise.
  • Contribute to HR special projects, including the safety committee.
  • Prepare correspondence as requested.
  • Assist Talent Acquisition with onboarding tasks such as background checks and orientation.
  • Support HR in arranging travel and accommodations for employees as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • BA Degree or SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) or PHR Certification is preferred, along with 2-3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in providing administrative and operational support within Human Resources.
  • Knowledge and experience in supporting both Human Resources and Recruitment functions are highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office365 Suite and other computer applications.
  • Familiarity with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), specifically Paylocity.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective time management and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with discretion.
  • Willingness to report onsite daily.

Pay Range:
$70K-80K
